It’s been six months since The Kitchen ended on Food Network. Now, Katie Lee is giving her thoughts about it - including some interesting information about the cast.
As fans know, Katie was one of five hosts on The Kitchen throughout its 11-year TV run. She appeared alongside Geoffrey Zakarian, Jeff Mauro, Sunny Anderson, and Alex Guarnaschelli, and the celebrity chefs would cook seasonal dishes while discussing the latest trends in the food industry. The show’s final episode aired in December 2025.
As Katie shared with People while attending the 2026 Gotham Ball in mid-May, she has nothing but love for that time in her career. She also noted that the group still keeps up with one another almost six months after the series finale.
“Well, The Kitchen was an incredible experience,” she told the outlet in an article published on May 31. “I miss my co-host. I was texting with Geoffrey Zakarian yesterday, and we were saying, ‘I miss [you],’ you know, ‘We miss each other. We miss going in each other’s dressing rooms and hanging out and just kind of, you know, BSing with each other.’”
“It was a great, great time and I’m so grateful for it, and grateful for the experience we had,” she added.
While new episodes of The Kitchen haven’t been produced, reruns continue to air frequently on Food Network. In fact, they’ve been airing so often that Katie, Jeff, and Geoffrey all voiced their opinions about it while teasing something major about the show.
“We’re filming a special episode of The Kitchen. It’ll be on the air,” Jeff revealed when the trio recorded a March 2026 episode of Katie’s All on the Table podcast.
“What are they gonna do to us? Cancel us?” Katie jokingly added.
“Hey, 12 more weeks for Food Network to realize the mistake they’ve made,” Geoffrey concluded in jest.
