My mom used Pampers on me, and now I use them on my daughter—but the diapers themselves couldn’t be more different. They’ve come a long way, and the latest version has quickly become my personal favorite. It also outperformed every previous Pampers diaper our Textiles Lab has tested.

Pampers Amore is the brand’s newest diaper, and I personally find it’s their softest yet. Ever since we’ve gotten our hands on these, the Amore impressed parents and Lab experts alike, earning a Good Housekeeping Parenting Award this year. After putting the diapers through tests both in our Lab and in the real world, here’s what stands out about them.

Amore

Pros

  • Exceptional absorbency
  • Extremely soft, premium feel comparable to higher-end brands
  • Comfortable, lightweight design

  • Price remains higher compared to value diaper brands

How Pampers Amore Stacked Up in Lab Tests

When evaluating diapers, our GH Lab experts run them through a series of tests that measure everything from leak protection to absorbency, dryness, and overall comfort. The Pampers Amore aced those tests, earning one of the highest overall scores in our panel.

“They performed exceptionally well in our absorbency tests, especially in our pooling test,” said Amanda Constantine, a home and apparel reviews analyst at the Good Housekeeping Institute. “They soaked up lots of liquid and still stayed dry at the surface, for a more comfortable feel for your baby.” Constantine even said she found the Pampers Amore comparable to premium diapers from other brands, but at a more affordable price.

Testing the Diapers with Parents

Parents who tested the Pampers Amore couldn’t get enough of their softness, finding them comfortable for their little ones. “They did not irritate baby’s skin, and were very fast to absorb wetness,” said one mom.

One mom also pointed out that she liked how easy it was to see when the wetness indicator line turned blue. “Aesthetically, I like how simple they are (fewer characters/graphics than most diapers), which I think also makes them feel more high-end in addition to the softness,” she said.

Using Amore Diapers on My Daughter

Prior to switching to Pampers Amore, I primarily used the Pampers Pure line, which is currently being phased out. Although I genuinely liked Pampers Pure diapers, the Pampers Amore have worked just as well for us, if not better.

The Amore diapers are some of the softest diapers I’ve personally tested. They’re super easy to take on and off, and they’ve successfully contained my daughter’s blowouts. I’ve also noticed that she has stayed comfortable without any signs of irritation while wearing them.

What I like most is that the diapers are as soft as Coterie — another diaper favorite of mine — but they’re more lightweight and come at a lower price point, making them an excellent everyday option for parents who want premium comfort without the premium cost.
